Built By Growers, For Growers

GuardianSkies started as a side project between two mechatronics engineers and a Riverland cherry grower who'd lost half a harvest to starlings in a single week. Everything below is what came of it.

The Origin

In 2025, a grower in the Riverland lost close to half of a premium cherry harvest to starlings in the space of a single week. Netting had gone up too late. The gas cannons had stopped working within days, the birds simply learned to feed between the booms.

That conversation is the reason GuardianSkies exists. We weren't trying to build a drone company. We were trying to answer one question properly: how do you keep birds off a crop without hurting them, without a person standing in the field all day, and without the birds learning to ignore you?

The answer turned out to be autonomous, AI-directed, and dynamic, closer to a security system than a scarecrow. That's what we've spent the time since building.

What We Won't Compromise On

Zero Harm

Every deterrence method we build is non-lethal. We move flocks, we don't remove them.

Autonomous First

If it needs a person standing in a paddock at 5am, we consider it a failed design.

Sovereign Built

Hardware designed, assembled, and supported inside Australia, for Australian conditions.

Farmer-Led

Every feature traces back to a request from a grower who lost a season to birds.
